Summary:

Reporting to the Associate Director, the incumbent of this position is a technical specialist who contributes to the conception, development and implementation and support of several management tools in the delivery of Bell’s Managed Services (MS) for environments such as network, security, VoIP or servers.

The incumbent will join a development team and will have to understand all requirements related to the management environment used for all the customers supported within Bell Canada Managed services operation groups.

Responsibilities:

  • Analyzes the needs for tools management for the corporation and its customers, evaluates them and propose solutions. Participates in the management tools conception.
  • Responsible for the development and participate to the implementation.
  • Participates in the elaboration of test and implementation strategies to ensure the integration and stability of the management tools.
  • Participates in the planning and the coordination of activities in project deliveries.
  • Create documentation to illustrate the application architecture.
  • Create documentation for the integration team who will support at level 1 the application.
  • Provide level 2 support for the applications the incumbent will be responsible of.
  • Ensures the integrity, the coherence and the optimal performance of the management tools solutions and takes charge of complex problems.
  • Understands and follows the operational processes, procedures and work instructions available to ensure cohesive operational activities.
  • In line with its area of expertise, he participates and represents the team in request for proposals, new customer’s diligent reviews, committees and others.

Qualifications:

  • University Degree in Computer Sciences or equivalent or equivalent experience.
  • Eight (8) years of pertinent experience in Java development/Leading teams.
  • Expertise with object oriented programming and the related design patterns and their applications.
  • Expertise in Java and the following frameworks / technologies: apache-camel, jboss-drools, spring-framework, REST, SOAP, XML, json.
  • Good knowledge Windows based development environment using Eclipse, Maven, Git.
  • Good knowledge of Linux, Unix, Bash / Perl scripting.
  • Good knowledge of MongoDB and NoSQL concepts.
  • Good knowledge of MySQL, MSSQL and Oracle.
  • Good knowledge of Visio, Word, Excel and writing technical documentation.
  • Knowledge of Sonar, Jenkins, JMX an asset.
  • Computer and networking technology experience an asset (Network, VoIP, Servers)
  • Strong Communication Skills (English)
  • Proven ability to lead a dynamic goal oriented development team.

Considered as Asset :

  • Strong REST, SOAP, XML, json (candidate is expected to be able to work autonomously with great analytical skills and client relationship skills).

Responsibilities:

  • A project to research, validate, and approve Customer, Billing and Service details to the ultimate customer data entity.
  • Utilize master data management concepts to validate and confirm accuracy of customer records and eliminate duplication.
  • Follow Data Governance rules to determine if data from the data sources are eligible to get linked with Ultimate/parent customer.
  • Technical writing – Have basics of programming to write Regular expressions on the natural data to search and group the data.

Data Stewards are responsible for maintaining the integrity of data assets in an organization. Their duties include ensuring data quality, assessing data quality, creating data standards, meeting customer information needs, establishing data access security requirements, and adhering to data and metadata standards. The job focusses on skills such as database management, computer proficiency, confidentiality, attention to details, teamwork, and organizational skills.

Data Stewards Senior would be responsible to steer team with the data governance road map, effectively communicate with customer to understand the need, and educate/mentor the team on day to day changes.

They should be responsible to adapt to continuous evolution of IT changes and processes to attain the data objectives. And also contribute towards the data quality by providing observations to the business and IT team to take on system automations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in any streams.
  • 5-7 years of relevant experience desired.

Requirement :

  • Profound experience of maintaining data on ERP and data management system.
  • Outstanding knowledge of various database concepts.
  • Exceptional knowledge of various complex business processes.
  • Ability to multi task and prioritize work.
  • Ability to communicate with technical and business clients.
  • Ability to maintain quality of data.
  • Ability to maintain business rules for functional activities.
  • Familiarity with data stewardship, data management, SQL, Macros and data migration.
  • Research, review, analyse, correct data so as to properly process customer, billing and service accounts to the right ultimate customer data entity.
  • Capturing and documenting account information and communicating data to customer as reports.
  • Customer relationship management – connecting business entities with business personnel to their active role.
  • Audit data by verifying change requests from business and correct the data as per data governance rules.
  • Provide end user training for new team members.
  • Perform quality check of stewarded records before files are sent back to clients.
  • Basics of IT to write Regular expressions, querying database, excel operations for effective data governance.
  • Understand Company hierarchies and perform case study to have the right customer account linking with right hierarchy level of the company.
  • Prepared reports and identified appropriate data quality issues.
  • Scheduled data steward meetings and educational sessions in organization.
